1. Overview
TackQuote ("TackQuote," "we," "us") provides a B2B quoting and revenue platform used by sellers ("Customers") to create quotes, manage buyer relationships, and process payments, and by the buyers Customers invite ("Buyers") to review and accept those quotes. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the TackQuote platform (the seller portal, buyer portal, and API), how we use it, and the choices available to you.
2. Data We Collect
Account data. Name, email, phone, company name, and role, for both Customer users and the Buyers they invite.
Quote and transaction data. Line items, pricing, quote history, contracts, e-signatures, invoices, and payment status.
Payment data. Payments are processed by Stripe, PayPal, and Razorpay — TackQuote does not store full card numbers or bank account details. We retain payment metadata (amount, status, method, provider reference id) needed for invoicing and reconciliation.
Integration data. When a Customer connects a commerce or CRM platform (e.g. Shopify, BigCommerce, HubSpot, Salesforce, NetSuite), we access the store/account data needed to sync products, orders, and customers, scoped to the permissions granted during that connection.
Usage data. Log data, device/browser information, and product-usage analytics used to operate and improve the platform.
3. How We Use Data
- To provide the quoting, e-signature, payment, and analytics features of the platform.
- To sync data with the third-party integrations a Customer explicitly connects.
- To send transactional email/SMS (quote notifications, payment receipts, security alerts).
- To detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To comply with tax, accounting, and legal record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
4. AI Features
TackQuote's AI-assisted quote drafting and follow-up features send quote/product context to an AI provider to generate suggestions. Customers may configure their own AI provider API key; in that case, that provider's own data-handling terms govern the request. We do not use Customer or Buyer data to train foundation models we do not control.
5. Data Sharing
We share data only with:
- Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay) to process transactions.
- Commerce/CRM/accounting platforms a Customer explicitly connects (Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Magento, HubSpot, Salesforce, Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, and similar).
- Infrastructure subprocessors (hosting, email delivery, error monitoring) under contracts requiring equivalent data protection.
- Law enforcement or regulators, only when legally compelled.
6. Data Retention
We retain quote, invoice, and contract records for as long as a Customer's account is active plus the period required by applicable tax/accounting law thereafter. Buyers may request deletion of their personal data at any time (see Section 8) — records required for financial/legal record-keeping are anonymized rather than deleted outright where deletion would violate a legal retention obligation.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to Customer data is scoped per-tenant via row-level security, and integration credentials are encrypted before storage. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected Customers without undue delay in the event of a data breach affecting their data, as required by applicable law.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR and similar frameworks), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Buyers can submit a data-deletion request directly through their seller's TackQuote-hosted portal, or by contacting the Customer (data controller) or TackQuote (data processor) directly. We will action verified requests within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
TackQuote is a business-to-business platform not directed at, or intended for use by, children under 16.
10. Changes to This Policy
We'll post material changes to this page with an updated "last updated" date, and notify Customers by email for changes that materially reduce their rights.
